Each column is a driver; each dot is a single timed lap from the session. Lower on the chart means faster. Look at the lowest dot per driver to find their best lap. A tight cluster means consistent pace; a wide spread usually means testing different setups or fuel loads. Practice sessions are mainly for testing, so raw speed here doesn't directly translate to qualifying or race pace. Clean lap times in FP2 and FP3 tend to be more predictive.
